List of skyrim enemies8/11/2023 ![]() I just wish it were done a different way. So, I understand why Skyrim does what it does. On the other hand, if you make an open world game have static levels, you're essentially forcing the player not to go to certain places until later, which is frowned upon. Having the enemies level up with the player takes that away. That draugr that wrecked you at level 3 is now a pushover, look how far you've come! That sort of thing. It gives you a feeling of strength and fulfillment. On one hand, I don't really like scaling systems in games being able to overpower weak enemies is a major part of player progression and satisfaction. In this list it gets easier as the player gets better, before returning to where it started. However, because of this you can make weird lists if you want, e.g.: Note that the NPCs level in the list is not the same as the NPCs actual level. For easy enemies, is it the closest enemy below the resolved value? I thought the uesp said it was randomly selected from all NPCs below the resolved value, but I can't find the page right now. ![]() In general I find the system much easier to understand if phrased as "NPCs are static, but dungeons level with the player (within limits)".I think most of what you say I accurate, but I have a couple of extra points: You might want to see this post too, as well as the mod descriptions for.
